WHC: Week 13

Last week and the week before were super snowy so wood hobby club was cancelled twice in a row.

This week I went in for an hour and a half to learn the lesson on raised panel doors that I missed a while ago. There are so many steps! I did not imagine that building an end table would be this complicated and involved. Neither did anyone else, apparently, because I was the only one who showed up this week. To be fair, the course was supposed to end before Christmas, but as I’ve repeatedly read, building projects always take longer than planned. There are still two lessons left: attaching the top and trim, and staining and sealing.

I didn’t get any work done on my project this week because I wasn’t feeling 100%. I’m naturally lazy, so I was kind of looking for an excuse not to do anything, but I also refrain from using power tools when I’m over-tired or shaky. Plus I need to do a bit of math because of what I changed on my project.

Hopefully next week I’ll have more to report!
